Overview

Keed ("we," "our," or "us") is a parental-control video app designed for families. We take your family's privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What information we collect

Account information. When you sign up with Google, we receive your email address and name from Google. This is used to identify your account.

Kid profiles. You may create profiles for your children with a name and avatar. No real names or personal details about your children are required. This information stays on your device and our servers and is never shared publicly.

Watch history. We record which videos your kids watch and for how long, so you can review their activity through the parent dashboard.

Content preferences. The YouTube channels you approve for your kids are stored on our servers to deliver the service.

How we use this information

We use collected information only to:

• Operate and maintain your account
• Show you watch history and time usage in the parent dashboard
• Enforce daily time limits for each kid profile
• Serve the videos you've approved
• Improve the app

We never sell your personal information or your children's information.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

Keed is designed for use by parents on behalf of their children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Kid profiles are created by parents and do not require any personally identifiable information about the child. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Third-party services

Supabase. We use Supabase for authentication and data storage. Supabase processes data in accordance with their privacy policy.

Google / YouTube Data API. The app uses the YouTube Data API to search for channels and fetch video metadata. Watch history and usage data are not shared with Google/YouTube beyond what is necessary to serve the video content you explicitly approve. The app does not display ads, comments, or recommendations from YouTube.

Google Sign-In. We use Google Sign-In for authentication. Google shares your name and email address with us at sign-up. You can revoke access at any time via your Google Account settings.

Data security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for data in transit and follow security best practices for data at rest. Access to production data is limited to the application and its direct dependencies.

Data retention

We retain your account data and watch history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You can also delete your account directly within the app's parent dashboard.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the app.
